PUZZLE
My life has been one with few twists
Many opportunities gained with some unexpected hits
The pain I’ve felt, insignificant to that I’ve caused
Each memory builds a part of the scene
Every person I’ve known, every place I’ve been
Some drift away, others cannot be ignored.
CHORUS:
The colours and the shadows
Each a factor in this puzzle
The joy, the love and even the sorrow
Wouldn’t exchange a thing
Other’s pieces I would not borrow
Mine are all a piece of me.
The picture they paint – almost complete
However there’s just one missing piece
The one that completes the story
The section of the puzzle that’s the tricky part
The one that I’m yet to meet
The one to fulfill my heart.
All the remaining pieces lay face down
All of them the colour of brown
No way to tell which is right
Without picking them up and turning them around.
Examine the colour, feel its shape
Find the perfect one that will integrate.
CHORUS
Take my time, there’s no hurry
Consider each piece wholly
Don’t push too hard, praying it’ll fit
Too much pressure and there will be worry
The wrong piece will make the puzzle split.
CHORUS
Search high and low
No place I would not go
To find that special piece
To make this puzzle of me complete.
CHORUS x 2
