Organisation Is Crucial

I’m now in third gear with my writing, however, the more I am writing, the more loose paper I seem to be collating. Random ideas, thoughts and scraps of scenes pop into my head that I need to get down. Doing this is necessary, but it makes them very easy to lose!

I realised I needed a zip up case to hold all of my notes so I didn’t lose anything. I also needed to organise my PC so that I had everything ready to go without (well minimised) outside distractions. Setting up Dragon Naturally Speaking as we speak (pardon the pun) and will be ready to get going full steam ahead tomorrow. Bring it on!

  1. Have you tried setting up a personal wiki for all those notes etc? I have tried, didn’t work for me, but I know other writers who swear by it.

      1. You can build a private version on wikispaces, or you can download a program like one-note or a variety of other stand alone wiki’s that operate on your PC without going to the net; so yes, you can ensure privacy of the notes.
