Pen to the Page
I’ve been quiet recently as I’ve been reading and thinking about some aspects of how I’m going to write my own novel.
What kind of perspective will I have?
What tense?
How am I going to name these characters?
How do I write the first sentence?
Some answers instead of questions would be nice.

I know…I just want to avoid having my pen quivering over a blank page; too unsure how to write the first sentence.

Remember that half of what you write will need to be rewritten, revised, or scraped altogether anyway. Your story will likely morph itself along the way. AND….that first sentence will take a long time to get right. 😉
