Broken Angel (Meteor)
Laying on my back, staring up into the night sky
Watching the stars, moon and clouds drifting by.
Mind free, completely empty; no longer ask why
Soul set free – said my ultimate goodbye.
Mind awoken by the blaze – tops of the clouds
Grazed by the meteor; hissing the only sound.
As it lights up the sky, traveling to the ground.
Losing strength as it falls; just waiting to be found.
Sitting up, I watch the pieces break away
Burning up, turning night to day.
Heading straight towards me, try to roll out the way
Hits me in the chest; brings me into the fray.
Rolling over, I pick up the pieces in my hands
Solid iron, the strength inside grand
Still broken in the crash land
Pieces look like an angel when placed together in the sand.
Place the pieces in my shirt, keep them close
My broken angel, give you everything – give you the most
The destructive pain is over, made it through the worst
To a place of happiness – time to transpose.
