wordpress.com to wordpress.org or godaddy.com?

There is someone I know who is starting up their own blog. They didn’t want to have .wordpress.com in their page, so invested in hosting. Now, I do have a website, http://www.submeg.com, but currently I don’t have anything on there at the moment, trying to decide what I would do with it. Should I map it across? I’m not sure. Will have to investigate more.
